Sign up as a host and Second Harvest will send you a step by step guide to plan your event along with forms and frequently asked questions. You can also request collection cans and posters to use at your event.

ECHOage

Help your child celebrate giving! For those wanting to do something a little different for your child’s birthday, check out www.echoage.com where the birthday child learns to give back to their favourite cause!
ECHOage is a charity-driven, eco-friendly, online birthday party service where children learn the value of giving and receiving while celebrating. No matter what your child’s party theme or venue, you can easily ECHOage ANY party.
How does it work?
Step #1. Visit www.echoage.com, choose an invitation, select Second Harvest as your cause and invite your guests.
Step #2. Guests RSVP and contribute online and you get to watch the giving grow on your ECHOage Tracker.
Step #3. When your party is over, ECHOage will send half of the money collected to buy a dream gift for your child and the other half to Second Harvest.

Five Hole For Food
Thank you to Five Hold for Food. Second Harvest was their charity of choice this past Canada Day. We raised money, raised awareness and enjoyed a summer's day in Withrow Park. This event is touring the country helping to raise food for local food programs. All tournament players and spectators are asked to bring canned food or monetary donations with them for the local charity. Thank you to all those who supported Second Harvest.

Caribana Parade 2010

Support Second Harvest at the Caribana Parade on Saturday, July 31st. A Second Harvest truck will be in the parade starting at 10am.

Support Second Harvest by dancing the night away! Join DJ Gmani and Manilla Ice playing Top 40's, Hip Hop, House and R&B on August 13th at 261 Richmond Street. The Conscious Food Festival
Second Harvest is excited to announce that we will have a booth at the Conscious Food Festival and will be picking up surplus food. The Festival is held at the Historic Fort York in Toronto and runs from August 14-15th. The Conscious Food Festival is a celebration of local food and sustainability. The event organizers have generously donated vendor space to Second Harvest. Come out and support!
Live Green Toronto Festival

Come out and join Second Harvest for all things green on Saturday, August 28th from 11am - 8pm. Live Green Toronto Festival turns Yonge Street into 'green street' with more than 100 exhibitors of green products and services, local food, live music, and more. Second Harvest will be there with a booth selling merchandise and raising awareness about our cause.
Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon

Help mark Second Harvest’s 25th Anniversary by participating in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon on Sunday, September 26th, 2010!
This year we are thrilled to be chosen as a featured charity. Whether you are an avid marathon runner or want to walk in the 5km race, please come out and join the Second Harvest Team and help us raise $30,000 to provide 60,000 meals for those who are hungry in Toronto.
When you sign up with Second Harvest, you'll receive free registration if you raise a minimum $200 for the 5K or $300 for the half or full marathon. Also, receive a complimentary Second Harvest athletic shirt and a free personal training session at Think Fitness Studios to help you train.
Want to see a turkey run? Go the extra mile by joining thousands of people dressing up for the occasion in costume. You could win up to $2,500 for Second Harvest by sporting a colourful and inventive costume during the race. Find out more!

Calphalon Culinary Center

Do you have a passion for cooking that you haven’t yet explored? Starting this fall, Second Harvest is pleased to be partnering up with Calphalon Culinary Center. Register today for the culinary class demonstrations below and explore your passion for cooking while helping feed hungry Torontonians. Second Harvest is a charity of choice at this year's Dotcon 2010 convention. Dotcon is a two-day convention focusing on popular media, arts and culture from Japan. Toronto Taste

Toronto Taste 2010 was an incredible success! It was very inspiring to see so many people come together, at the Royal Ontario Museum, in an effort to make hunger history.
