Second Harvest Hero’s most popular fundraiser! The Hero Sweepstakes kick off in February and tickets can be purchased until the draw date on Friday, March 25th, 2022. Entries can be purchased online and can be purchased by residents of all Canadian provinces 18 years of age or older (excluding Quebec).Enter Now
Up for grabs will be our best prize board in Second Harvest’s history, and the best part is the prizes are all donated by our generous supporters, so 100% of the money you raise will help get good food to people in need!

Truck Pull Challenge
This popular Second Harvest Hero event will be returning to Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto. Rally a team of 10 to test your strength pulling a Second Harvest food rescue truck weighing 10 tons, 100 feet across the Square. Teams must fundraise a minimum of $2,000 to participate.
This year’s truck pull will be held on September 13th, 2022.
Can't Participate in Second Harvest events?
No problem! With Second Harvest Hero, you can always pick what works for you. Here is a list of fundraising suggestions but if you have another idea for your team, let us know and we’d be happy to help.
Lunch Money Day
The fundraiser that started it all! Hold an office or virtual lunch and have your coworkers bag their lunch instead of purchasing it that day. Then donate those saved funds towards your Second Harvest Hero campaign.
The perfect snack year-round! Order bags of Kernels Popcorn for $1.15 each and sell them for $2.25 each. Pick a week to run a drive so your coworkers or students can stock up or keep them on hand to fundraise year-round. Email email@example.com to request a form.
500 bags sold per year (about 40 per month) raised $550 – that provides enough food for over 1,000 fresh, healthy meals.

The Good Challenge
The GOOD Challenge is on a mission to make doing good memorable, fun, and shareable.
Our Challenge Packs that give back come in a book with 10 challenges and include adventurous games and activities that will push you out of your comfort zone and get you trying new things. For every Challenge Pack purchased, $10 will be donated to Second Harvest!
