Through Second Harvest, we've actually been able to acquire really strong donations on a weekly basis. Without those donations, we would not be able to do what we're doing ... We know that whenever we get food it is going to go to people in need and that's what we try and do here at Parker Street: give the best we can to the people who need it the most.

We love Second Harvest and the food rescue program. With the donations we receive, we are able to stretch our food budget as well as help out our children, youth and families who are struggling with food insecurity. It is amazing to be able to give them a little hand up throughout the month.

Gifts from the Heart

[Our partnership with Second Harvest is] life-saving in many ways. You can’t put a value on a partnership like this. When it keeps coming and coming, and giving and giving and giving, and we can pass on that to anybody and everybody, that’s the value of it. A partnership is something you work together on for a common goal.
