Auctions

Our auctions help us continue our work to fill plates, not landfills.

Going once… going twice… thank you!

Whether you’re looking for the perfect gift or an indulgent treat for yourself, Second Harvest’s auctions feature an array of incredible gifts. Bid on day-to-day practical items or luxurious, one-of-a-kind treasures, all for a great cause. 100% of the proceeds go directly to our food rescue initiatives in support of our vision: No Waste. No Hunger.

So many ways to donate

Through the support of our generous donors, we’re able to offer a wide selection of auction items to our supporters. We thankfully accept donations in a variety of categories and price points for our auctions, year-round:

$100 – $499: We welcome gift cards, wine and spirits, beauty products, sporting equipment and tickets, and deluxe gift baskets

$500 – $999: Thank you for generous gifts like high-end accessories, electronics, concert tickets, and appliances

$1,000+: Make someone’s dream come true with a luxury gift item or experience package that can’t be purchased in-store or online

*Due to Canada Revenue Agency regulations, Second Harvest cannot issue tax receipts for donations of gift cards, gift certificates, vouchers, raffle tickets or services. Second Harvest must have documentation of the product’s fair market value to issue a tax receipt. For more information on the Income Tax Act please contact Canada Revenue Agency www.cra.gc.ca/charities.

All fine wine, art, and antique donations must be appraised for their fair market value before Second Harvest can validate the donation. Rob Jull, Owner, Vinifera Wine Services, will be appraising all fine wine donations for Second Harvest. It is the donor’s responsibility to provide proof of authenticity from an official appraiser for art or antique donations. All art and physically delicate donations must include suitable shipping materials to ensure safety during transit to winners. Second Harvest utilizes storage at The Fine Wine Reserve to ensure the highest standards of fine wine storage. Their facility is purpose-built and specifically engineered to protect fine wines.
